Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • possess outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic attitude
  • ability to perform kitchen functions such as broiler, sauté, pantry, prep and production
  • knowledge of applicable food preparation and menu planning
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • fluent and literate in English
  • college degree or culinary arts degree preferred or minimum three years of related experience or training or equivalent combination
  • ability to adhere to company policies and gaming regulations
  • ability to work safely and responsibly
  • meet uniform, appearance and grooming standards

Job Duties

  • Foster a fun environment
  • be a gracious host to all guests and co-workers
  • promote a positive influence in the community and participate in company-sponsored events
  • perform assigned kitchen functions such as broiler, sauté, pantry, prep and production when needed
  • ensure culinary standards and operational guidelines are met during shifts
  • prepare food items based on established recipes and plating procedures
  • adjust thermostat controls to regulate cooking equipment temperature
  • bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
  • add seasoning to foods during mixing or cooking
  • test foods for proper cooking by tasting, smelling, and piercing
  • carve meats, portion food, and garnish serving plates
  • exhibit knife skills, classic cuts and sharpening
  • wash, peel, cut and shred vegetables and fruits for preparation
  • support safety and accident prevention programs
  • collaborate with culinary leadership to ensure coordinated workflow
  • act as a role model and encourage others
  • provide stellar customer service and participate in customer service programs
  • assist in other food and beverage venues as needed
  • attend company training programs
  • adhere to all company policies and gaming laws
  • keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards
  • meet department uniform and grooming standards
  • perform duties to promote productivity and respond to supervisor requests
