Job Requirements
- Must have at least 3-5 years of culinary experience
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule and/or overtime if needed
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- Must work well with others as a team and help co-workers as needed
- Ability to speak and read English fluently
- Manual dexterity and ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to climb stairs and move objects up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Three to five years of culinary experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime
- Availability to work weekends and holidays
- Ability to work well with others and assist co-workers
- Fluent in English, both speaking and reading
- Manual dexterity and ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to climb stairs and move objects up to 50 pounds
- Experience in high-volume restaurant or catering environments
- Culinary degree or certification preferred
- Willingness to perform other duties as required
Job Duties
- Work knowledge of Club policies and guidelines as outlined in the employee handbook
- Possess technical culinary skills needed to fulfill job duties
- Show active interest in self-improvement
- Exhibit professional attitude towards superiors, colleagues, and work
- Be timely and ensure oncoming shift is informed of outstanding orders
- Understand and use recipes to produce correct mise en place with minimal waste
- Prepare foods to proper doneness and season correctly
- Assist with preparation of other food products on serving lines as needed
- Properly assemble tools and utensils for job tasks
- Prioritize work and meet immediate needs
- Demonstrate teamwork by asking or offering help
- Return soiled utensils and equipment appropriately
- Follow sanitation practices and properly cool and store food
- Maintain a clean and neat station for self and incoming shifts
- Exhibit proper personal hygiene and professional dress
- Manage food production to ensure high quality and consistent presentation
- Maintain professional conduct and appearance
- Adhere to food and labor cost goals and take corrective actions
- Attend monthly kitchen meetings
- Communicate daily with Executive Chef and Sous Chefs regarding operations
- Complete tasks assigned by Executive and Sous Chefs accurately and on time
- Present oneself with leadership and self-control
- Accommodate reasonable member requests
- Manage dating, labeling, and covering of items in walk-in coolers and freezers
- Maintain safety and security in workstation
- Maintain walk-in coolers using FIFO standards
- Keep walk-in coolers free of debris, spills, and wet floors
- Taste all food produced for a la carte
- Be cross-trained on other stations and work them as needed
