Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or ged preferred
  • one to two years experience as a cook's apprentice in a large, full service hotel or restaurant preferred
  • strong organizational and interpersonal skills required
  • ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction and multiplication
  • ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions
  • physical ability to lift up to 25 lb frequently and occasionally up to 50 lb
  • physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to work in a moderate to loud noise environment with potential exposure to smoke

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • interact effectively with the public and team members
  • perform excellent customer service at all times
  • prepare, season, finish, and garnish all food in kitchen preparation in accordance with established recipes
  • collaborate with lead line cooks, dishwashers, supervisors, chefs, servers, and utility staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations
  • maintain compliance with health and sanitation standards and applicable laws
  • follow all recipes and control procedures
  • assist in all areas of food production as needed
