Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Self-starting personality with an even disposition
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times
- Willingness to help co-workers and be a team player
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Finger and hand dexterity to operate food machinery
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs on a continuous schedule
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a similar kitchen role advantageous
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain portion control
- Experience with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment without duplicating duties
Job Duties
- Prepare food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards
- Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards
- Start food items that are prepared ahead of time without overpreparing
- Date all food containers and rotate as per hospitality standards
- Check pars for shift use and prepare accordingly
- Assist in keeping buffet stocked
- Return unused food items to designated storage
- Assist in controlling food costs and waste
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
