Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times
  • Willingness to help co-workers and be a team player
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Finger and hand dexterity to operate food machinery
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs on a continuous schedule

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar kitchen role advantageous
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain portion control
  • Experience with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment without duplicating duties

Job Duties

  • Prepare food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards
  • Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards
  • Start food items that are prepared ahead of time without overpreparing
  • Date all food containers and rotate as per hospitality standards
  • Check pars for shift use and prepare accordingly
  • Assist in keeping buffet stocked
  • Return unused food items to designated storage
  • Assist in controlling food costs and waste
  • Operate and clean kitchen equipment including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
