Job Requirements

  • One year of cooking experience in a fast-paced full-service restaurant
  • passion for excellence superior service standards and a positive attitude
  • open availability including nights weekends and holidays
  • ability to stand walk and move throughout the shift including frequent bending lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and stooping
  • ability to remain positive and productive in a potentially hot or cold work environment

Job Duties

  • Set up and stock station with all necessary supplies ensuring proper inventory control
  • cook and prepare menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff according to the Hogsalt Recipe Index ensuring food quality and time standards are always met
  • maintain a high level of communication understand the verbiage for call backs of menu items and keep lines of dialogue open and relevant to service
  • answer report to and follow instructions and direction from sous chef executive chef or other leadership
  • properly clean and break down station at the end of service ensuring all food handling and food storage standards are met
  • ensure that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations at all times
  • maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers leadership vendors and guests
