Job Requirements
- Be at least eighteen years of age
- possess a current Food Handlers Card
- demonstrate leadership, training, and supervision competency
- proficient in written and oral communication
- physically active and able to stand, walk, bend, kneel and stoop all day
- able to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
- comfortable working near extreme temperatures
- able to work indoors and outdoors
- criminal background clearance
- able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
Job Qualifications
- Food Handlers Card as specified per the Department of Health
- demonstrated skills in leadership, training, and supervision
- proficient written and oral communication skills
- ability to understand and communicate in English
- experience in food preparation or culinary services
- knowledge of health and safety standards
- ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Job Duties
- Prepare all menu items according to established standards and recipes
- provide exceptional quality food that is attractively presented in a timely fashion
- ensure health protocols are always followed, including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and proper food temperatures
- familiarize yourself with the residents and their preferences and needs
- participate in resident orientations
- work primarily indoors but be available for outdoor events
- maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas
