Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a current Food Handlers Card
- Have demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in leadership, training, and supervision
- Proficient written and oral communication skills with management and staff
- Must be active and capable of physical demands of the role
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently
- Comfortable with exposure to extreme cooking temperatures
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed
- Criminal clearance required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food Handler's Card as specified by the Department of Health
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- Demonstrated skills in leadership, training, and supervision
- Proficient written and oral communication skills
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the shift
- Ability to lift or move items up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working near extreme temperatures
- Criminal background clearance
Job Duties
- Prepare all menu items according to established standards and recipes
- Provide exceptional quality food that is attractively presented in a timely fashion
- Ensure health protocols are followed including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and proper food temperatures
- Familiarize yourself with residents and their preferences and needs
- Participate in resident orientations
- Maintain a clean and safe food service area
- Assist with inventory and ingredient management
