Job Requirements
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Knowledge of and ability to consistently prepare all food recipes and sub-recipes as instructed
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbal and written form in a professional manner
- Ability to expedite tickets accurately and timely, and read and understand the kitchen monitors or printed tickets, behind the cooks' line
- Proper cooling and storing practices per health department rules and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to follow directions in a fast-paced environment
- Manage time effectively
- Work well in a team environment
- Valid State Health Card and any other government-required cards at all times during employment
- A desire to learn, and grow, and a passion for progress in this career
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a line cook or similar role in a busy kitchen
- Good knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation
- Ability to follow standard recipes and menus
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Performs all culinary duties and responsibilities to achieve overall success of the operation
- Prepares food orders for guests using prescribed recipes and standards
- Expedites tickets accurately and timely
- Reads and understands kitchen monitors and printed tickets behind the cooks' line
- Follows health department rules and regulations for proper cooling and storing practices
- Communicates effectively in English
- Works well in a team environment
