Job Requirements

  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Knowledge of and ability to consistently prepare all food recipes and sub-recipes as instructed
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbal and written form in a professional manner
  • Ability to expedite tickets accurately and timely, and read and understand the kitchen monitors or printed tickets, behind the cooks' line
  • Proper cooling and storing practices per health department rules and regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to follow directions in a fast-paced environment
  • Manage time effectively
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Valid State Health Card and any other government-required cards at all times during employment
  • A desire to learn, and grow, and a passion for progress in this career

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a line cook or similar role in a busy kitchen
  • Good knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation
  • Ability to follow standard recipes and menus
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Performs all culinary duties and responsibilities to achieve overall success of the operation
  • Prepares food orders for guests using prescribed recipes and standards
  • Expedites tickets accurately and timely
  • Reads and understands kitchen monitors and printed tickets behind the cooks' line
  • Follows health department rules and regulations for proper cooling and storing practices
  • Communicates effectively in English
  • Works well in a team environment
