Job Requirements
- must be at least eighteen years of age
- possess current food handlers card as required by the department of health
- demonstrate leadership, training, and supervision skills
- communicate effectively in english
- able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop for extended periods
- able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- comfortable working near extreme temperatures
- able to work indoors and outdoors
- must pass criminal background check
Job Qualifications
- food handlers card as specified per the department of health
- ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in english
- demonstrated skills in leadership, training, and supervision
- proficient written and oral communication skills
- ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day
- ability to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
- comfort with exposure to extreme temperatures including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers
- availability to work indoors and outdoors for events
- criminal background clearance
Job Duties
- prepare all menu items according to established standards and recipes
- provide exceptional quality food attractively presented in a timely fashion
- follow health protocols including proper hygiene and sanitary food preparation
- maintain proper food temperatures
- familiarize with residents and their preferences
- participate in resident orientations
- maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
