Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a line cook
- Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Possession of or willingness to obtain a valid Food Handler's Card
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow recipes and food safety guidelines
- Commitment to safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a line cook in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen
- Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teammates and managers
- Ability to memorize and follow recipes, accurately measure ingredients, and follow food preparation guidelines
- Skilled in knife handling and proficient with kitchen equipment
- Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation practices
- Valid Food Handler's Card or willingness to obtain during training
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and kneel for the duration of the shift
- Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain composure under pressure
Job Duties
- Prepare, cook, and plate food to order according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines
- Follow safety protocols and kitchen practices to ensure a safe working environment
- Set up and maintain an organized, clean kitchen station daily
- Properly handle, store, and rotate ingredients using FIFO to maintain quality and freshness
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning
- Complete prep lists and other kitchen checklists before service
- Execute cleaning duties to maintain a sanitary kitchen environment
- Communicate with manager at shift start and end to ensure smooth operations
- Perform any other tasks required for kitchen efficiency
