Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • hold a current Food Handler Card
  • minimum of 2 years cooking experience preferred
  • able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to lift or move up to 100 lbs
  • basic math skills
  • good manual dexterity
  • ability to work in extreme temperatures and confined spaces
  • ability to communicate clearly in English
  • follow safety and sanitation regulations
  • maintain personal appearance standards
  • willing to assist team members
  • reliable and punctual

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • have 2 years cooking experience preferred
  • possess basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, and guest relations
  • have good working knowledge of broiler cooking fundamentals
  • have good working knowledge of sauté cooking fundamentals
  • understand accepted sanitation standards
  • be knowledgeable in operating kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, kettles
  • have basic mathematical skills for recipes and portion sizes
  • have basic knowledge of English for communication
  • able to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
  • capable of operating beverage equipment

Job Duties

  • Prepare daily preparation lists for production
  • read and employ math skills to follow recipes
  • prepare all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and guest specifications
  • visually inspect, select, and use only food items of the highest standard
  • check and control proper storage of products and portion control
  • keep refrigeration, equipment, storage, and work areas clean and compliant with health regulations
  • maintain all logs for cooling, heating, and temperature
  • adhere to company policies and procedures
  • follow safety and security procedures and rules
  • know fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • utilize protective equipment
  • report unsafe conditions and accidents to management
  • provide for a safe work environment
  • maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • perform related duties as requested
  • assist other kitchen personnel when needed
