Job Requirements

  • minimum of high school education preferred
  • willingness to work part-time temporary hours
  • ability to complete detailed work history
  • availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
  • ability to maintain food safety standards
  • capability to perform physical kitchen duties including standing for long periods

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in food preparation or cooking preferred
  • knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • ability to work as part of a team
  • good communication skills
  • flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • ability to follow instructions closely

Job Duties

  • assist the kitchen manager or lead cook with daily tasks
  • assist with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
  • prepare food including cleaning and cutting ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks
  • plate prepared foods
  • work with front of house staff to ensure orders are completed according to request and on time
  • properly clean kitchen, work stations and cooking utensils at the end of shift
  • ensure kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
