Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience as a chef or line cook in a restaurant
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Compliance with drug-free workplace policies
- Ability to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role
Job Qualifications
- Previous work experience in a restaurant as a chef/line cook
- High school diploma/GED
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to handle physically demanding work and long periods of standing
- Flexibility to travel up to 100% of the time
Job Duties
- Prepare full-course meals for Amtrak passengers
- Assist with all phases of meal preparations
- Wash all items used in the preparation of meals in compliance with FDA sanitation regulations and standards
- Complete all end-point duties
- Assist with loading and unloading of food and service products
- Plate food items according to current menu standards
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining car lower level
