Job Requirements

  • one to five years of prior cooking experience depending on role
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to bend stretch twist and reach
  • ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels
  • near vision to see close details
  • ability to move quickly and agilely
  • ability to multitask
  • good communication skills
  • ability to understand and convey information in English

Job Qualifications

  • culinary training preferred
  • prior cooking experience in hotel kitchen or related field
  • experience with banquet fine dining and line cooking preferred for certain roles
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • proficiency in English

Job Duties

  • prepare breakfast lunch dinner and banquet dishes with high quality and consistency
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen work area
  • follow all sanitation and safe food handling procedures
  • work collaboratively with kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation
  • handle food safely and adhere to hotel safety and security policies
  • assist in training and mentoring kitchen staff if in a lead cook role
  • manage food inventory and order supplies according to budget and house count
