Job Requirements

  • 2+ years in a Line Cook position in a similar environment
  • NYC Food Handlers License
  • Ability to walk or stand for long periods
  • English fluency
  • Additional languages preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality
  • Responsible for all aspects of kitchen operations including preparation, cooking, and portioning of food
  • Maintain and properly use all kitchen equipment including fryers, blenders, food processors, mixers, and rotisserie
  • Ensure prep duties are excellently prepped, seasoned, and cooked to standards by designated completion times
  • Follow standard operating procedures of all recipes, techniques, and build sheets of assigned dishes
  • Responsible for correct product storage of all mise en place including labeling and dating
  • Maintain properly sharpened knives and exhibit average knife skills in speed and accuracy
  • Maintain a clear dish station including chemicals, janitorial supplies, and health department standards
  • Support the hospitality and kitchen team when needed such as call-outs and catering
  • Have intimate knowledge of Department of Health standards and hold team accountable
