Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous line cook experience in a fast-paced or upscale restaurant setting preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
- excellent communication and teamwork skills
- willingness to adhere to all company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a line cook in a high-volume or upscale dining environment preferred
- knowledge of culinary techniques, knife skills, and food safety procedures
- ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality and attention to detail
- strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills
- professional attitude, reliability, and flexibility with scheduling, including nights and weekends
- passion for delivering exceptional food and contributing to an elevated dining experience
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items following Spruzzo's culinary standards, recipes, and presentation guidelines
- work efficiently on the line during high-volume lunch and dinner services
- maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation in compliance with food safety and hygiene protocols
- collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to ensure consistent quality and timing of all dishes
- assist with prep work, portioning, and daily station setup and breakdown
- monitor product levels and communicate inventory needs to kitchen leadership
- follow proper food handling, storage, and labeling procedures
- support a positive and team-focused kitchen culture through communication, professionalism, and respect
