Job Requirements
- understanding and adherence to health codes
- have a valid Illinois Food Service Sanitation Certification or obtain once hired
- ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
- ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs
- ability to stand and walk up to 8+ hours per day
- ability to work within the following conditions: wet floors, temperature extremes, and loud noise
- ability to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours in length
Job Qualifications
- line cook experience in high-volume full-service environment a plus
- basic knowledge of professional cooking and experience in knife handling
- knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
- ability to follow recipes and instructions
- ability to communicate clearly with guests, managers and team members
- ability to multi-task and work calmly and effectively under pressure
Job Duties
- prepare and execute daily food prep sheets
- measurement and preparation of ingredients
- stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of food on the line
- food preparation and portioning prior to service
- undertake basic cooking duties
- work on the line during dinner services
- light dishwashing
- maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment
- represent company values
