Job Requirements

  • understanding and adherence to health codes
  • have a valid Illinois Food Service Sanitation Certification or obtain once hired
  • ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
  • ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs
  • ability to stand and walk up to 8+ hours per day
  • ability to work within the following conditions: wet floors, temperature extremes, and loud noise
  • ability to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours in length

Job Qualifications

  • line cook experience in high-volume full-service environment a plus
  • basic knowledge of professional cooking and experience in knife handling
  • knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
  • ability to follow recipes and instructions
  • ability to communicate clearly with guests, managers and team members
  • ability to multi-task and work calmly and effectively under pressure

Job Duties

  • prepare and execute daily food prep sheets
  • measurement and preparation of ingredients
  • stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of food on the line
  • food preparation and portioning prior to service
  • undertake basic cooking duties
  • work on the line during dinner services
  • light dishwashing
  • maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment
  • represent company values
