Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • minimum of 1 year cooking experience
  • full availability and flexible schedule
  • references and background checks required
  • able to stand for long periods of time
  • able to lift 50 plus pounds

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of cooking experience in a professional kitchen
  • knowledge of traditional Japanese cuisine and seafood preparation preferred
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple tasks during busy service periods
  • culinary school education is a plus but not required

Job Duties

  • Set up station for service and prepare mis en place
  • check quality and consistency in food product
  • work with precision
  • prepare ticket items as they are fired
  • participate in service while speaking with guests and presenting dishes to the table
  • communicate with team
  • keep station clean
  • replenish station items
