Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of relevant culinary or restaurant experience
- Food Handler Certification if applicable
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen tasks
- Capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- Compliance with health and safety regulations
- Teamwork and collaboration skills
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year of restaurant and/or culinary experience in a high-volume, full service restaurant preferred
- Food Handler Certification if applicable
- Trained in knife skills and basic kitchen equipment usage
- Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work with minimal direction or supervision
- Excellent interpersonal skills for establishing positive rapport
- Flexible schedule including availability for mornings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Provide excellent quality and presentation of all food to the guests in a timely manner
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
- Follow item specifications including preparation, execution, and presentation
- Consistently comply with standard portion size, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, and policies
- Implement proper sanitation practices to prevent food spoilage and contamination while ensuring compliance with health regulations
- Maintain a clean work station including tables, grills, ovens, fryers and refrigeration equipment
- Assist in daily cleaning of pantry, cooking line, prep kitchen, dish area, and walk-in
- Report maintenance or repair needs to the Executive Chef
- Follow departmental policies and restaurant rules set forth in the Employee Handbook and management
