Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to work on feet for eight hours or more a day
  • must be able to lift at least 40 pounds on a regular basis
  • one to five years of professional cooking experience in a table service kitchen
  • clear communication skills
  • food safe certification or commitment to obtain it

Job Duties

  • Execute all prep assignments quickly efficiently safely and according to company standards and specifications
  • maintain a clean and sanitary workstation including tables shelves walls storage areas cooking and refrigeration equipment adhering to proper sanitation standards
  • understand and consistently comply with standards regarding portion size cooking methods and kitchen rules at all times
  • prepare dishes on the menu according to restaurant recipes
  • communicate effectively with kitchen team members and kitchen managers
  • ensure food safety and hygiene standards are upheld
  • assist with inventory and supply management as needed
