Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • One year experience in nursing home or hospital kitchen preferred
  • Servsafe certification required or will obtain upon hire
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Ability to measure solids and liquids according to recipes

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent
  • One year experience in nursing home or hospital kitchen preferred
  • Servsafe certification obtained or willing to obtain
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Basic math skills including weights, measurements, and fractions

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals from scratch including cooking, baking, slicing, and roasting
  • Maintain accurate inventory control
  • Follow food safety and state regulations including Servsafe standards
  • Measure solids and liquids according to recipe specifications
  • Comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Perform basic math calculations related to cooking
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness and organization
