Job Requirements

  • Experience in luxury hotel or resort kitchens
  • physical stamina and endurance for long shifts
  • ability to work under pressure in a high-volume kitchen
  • ability to lift and handle up to 50 pounds
  • availability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • capability to collaborate effectively with team members

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in a luxury hotel and/or resort
  • endurance to stand for long periods and walk moderate distances
  • ability to work in fast-paced and hot kitchen environments
  • capability to lift, push, and pull a moderate amount of weight (up to 50lbs)
  • flexible to work in different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to work independently and in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Maintain clean and organized work stations
  • follow proper food handling and safety procedures
  • assist with receiving and storing deliveries
  • help with inventory management and rotation
  • prepare ingredients for cooking according to established recipes and standards
  • perform basic cooking tasks under the guidance of senior kitchen staff
  • assist with preparing sauces, stocks, and other foundational items
  • portion and store food items properly
  • ensure all prepared items meet quality expectations
  • report any issues with ingredients or equipment
  • follow recipes and presentation guidelines accurately
  • assist other kitchen staff during service as needed
  • participate in kitchen cleaning and maintenance
  • attend staff meetings and training sessions
  • maintain impeccable grooming standards, wearing the assigned uniform exactly as specified
  • wear the official hotel lapel pin prominently as part of the uniform requirement, unless embroidered onto uniform
  • perform all other duties that may be assigned as needed by your manager
