Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • four or more years of Line Cook experience preferred

  • capable of working flexible hours to meet restaurant needs

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of four years of experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role
  • proficiency in kitchen procedures and knife handling
  • ability to prepare dishes precisely and quickly while paying close attention to detail
  • capable of reading and following kitchen instructions accurately
  • organized with strong initiative
  • knowledge of menu items and products
  • commitment to guest satisfaction
  • ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • understanding of food safety regulations

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and cook according to recipes
  • ensure ingredients are ready on the workstation on time to meet preparation schedules
  • organize and clean the workstation following restaurant protocols
  • maintain cleanliness of the workstation including kitchen equipment
  • comply with health, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards
  • guarantee the quality and freshness of ingredients and products
  • perform additional cleaning tasks as assigned by line supervisor, sous-chef, or executive chef
  • clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • cook and prepare a variety of foods according to standardized Sicilian Butcher recipes
  • measure, weigh, mix, chop, trim, and peel food items
  • safely utilize various utensils including knives
  • operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers
  • arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
  • properly store food adhering to food safety policies
  • maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, co-workers, and clients
  • adhere to Sicilian Butcher safety policies and procedures
  • perform other duties as assigned by upper management
