Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 to apply
  • have high school diploma or GED
  • have current ServeSafe certification
  • possess negative TB test
  • at least 1 year experience in food service preparing meals
  • ability to take directions and effectively perform work
  • ability to produce quality food in a fast-paced environment
  • positive attitude
  • good work ethic
  • strong knowledge of sanitary practices
  • maintain grooming and dress code standards
  • ability to work well with other staff
  • ability to multitask

Job Duties

  • Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare menu for service
  • prepare a variety of foods including meat, seafood, poultry, vegetable, and cold food items
  • properly label and date food items for storage
  • stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products to ensure smooth service
  • assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas
  • comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies
  • use food preparation tools according to manufacturer instructions
  • close the kitchen and follow closing checklists
  • prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • use safe and hygienic food handling practices
  • return dirty utensils to appropriate areas
  • perform additional duties as assigned by Executive Chef or Sous Chef
  • maintain tidy storage areas and proper food storage
