Job Requirements
- able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and day and night shifts
- work an average of 30 to 35 hours per week
- physically able to stand and move around for long periods of time
- able to lift up to 40 pounds
Job Qualifications
- 1-3 years cooking experience in a restaurant, hotel, or resort
- safe serve certified or able to obtain
- experience working as a line cook in a fast-paced environment
- strong multitasking and organizational skills
- good understanding of ingredients, recipes, kitchen safety and hygiene
- passionate about culinary arts and creative cooking
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- familiar with general kitchen equipment and appliances
- able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
Job Duties
- Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies
- prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing
- cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods
- expedites food order tickets in a timely manner
- maintains cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage
- cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift
