Job Requirements

  • able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and day and night shifts
  • work an average of 30 to 35 hours per week
  • physically able to stand and move around for long periods of time
  • able to lift up to 40 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • 1-3 years cooking experience in a restaurant, hotel, or resort
  • safe serve certified or able to obtain
  • experience working as a line cook in a fast-paced environment
  • strong multitasking and organizational skills
  • good understanding of ingredients, recipes, kitchen safety and hygiene
  • passionate about culinary arts and creative cooking
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • familiar with general kitchen equipment and appliances
  • able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently

Job Duties

  • Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies
  • prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing
  • cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods
  • expedites food order tickets in a timely manner
  • maintains cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage
  • cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift
