Job Requirements
- high school diploma or ged
- culinary arts or culinary apprenticeship
- one or more years of experience in a fast-paced cook-to-order kitchen
- one or more years of scratch cooking experience
- experience with sauté and broiler cooking
- ability to read, write and understand the english language
- manual dexterity to use kitchen tools and equipment
- physical ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to work in varying temperature conditions
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or ged
- culinary arts or culinary apprenticeship preferred
- experience cooking in a fast-paced, cook-to-order kitchen preferred
- experience with scratch cooking preferred
- sauté and/or broiler experience preferred
- ability to read, write, and understand english
- strong manual dexterity to handle kitchen equipment
- physical stamina to work without sitting for extended periods
Job Duties
- prepare high-quality food items such as meats, vegetables, potatoes, breads, and desserts
- maintain control of food quality and quantity at the station
- model professional, friendly, courteous, and timely service
- adhere to community standards, processes, and procedures
- assist with kitchen operations under executive chef guidance
- ensure cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen
- communicate effectively with residents, guests, and staff
