Job Requirements

  • Familiarity with Japanese cuisine along with classic cooking styles and preparations
  • 1-2 years experience as a line cook in a well-rated and/or Japanese-inspired restaurant
  • works well under pressure in a high-volume setting
  • 1+ year experience working a wok, tempura, or robata station is a big plus
  • a culinary degree is a plus

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook Japanese dishes according to restaurant standards
  • operate and maintain wok, tempura, or robata stations as assigned
  • ensure food quality and presentation meet the highest standards
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
  • work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth service
  • adhere to health and safety regulations
