Job Requirements
- Current Food Handler Card required
- At least 3 years of cooking experience preferred
- Familiarity with broiler and sauté cooking methods
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 100 lbs
- Manual dexterity to use kitchen tools
- Ability to work in extreme temperature ranges and confined spaces
- Available to work varied shifts and hours including nights and weekends
- Adherence to safety and hygiene standards
- Maintains neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance as per team member handbook
Job Qualifications
- Hold a current Food Handler Card
- Minimum of 3 years cooking experience preferred, especially broiler cooking
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
- Proficient knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking fundamentals
- Good understanding of sanitation standards
- Knowledge of operating kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, and kettles
- Basic mathematical skills to understand recipes, measurements, and portion sizes
- Basic proficiency in English to understand instructions
- Ability to read and apply written product labeling for safety
- Ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee makers
Job Duties
- Prepares daily preparation lists for production
- Reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
- Prepares all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and guest specifications
- Visually inspects, selects, and uses only high-quality food items for all menu preparations
- Checks and controls proper storage of products and portion control for quality maintenance
- Maintains cleanliness of refrigeration, equipment, and work areas to comply with health department regulations
- Maintains logs for cooling, heating, and temperature of food products
