Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Current Food Handler’s Permit
- State sanitation certificate
- 3-4 years of related cooking experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to read and follow instructions and recipes
- Dependable and detail oriented
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work with limited supervision
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Compliance with safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work some holidays and flexible hours
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Current Food Handler’s Permit
- State sanitation certificate
- 3-4 years of advanced food service and cooking experience preferred
- Intermediate to advanced knife skills
- Working knowledge of kitchen environment and food preparation
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and follow recipes
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles
- Ability to work flexible hours including some holidays
- Compassionate and patient with senior adults
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook to order foods for various meal periods
- Operate grill station and prepare a la carte items
- Follow standardized recipes and food safety regulations
- Measure, mix, wash, peel, cut, and trim ingredients
- Taste and monitor food quality and production records
- Receive inventory and prepare meals for special diets
- Clean and sanitize workstations and kitchen equipment
