Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Current Food Handler's Permit
  • State sanitation certificate
  • 3-4 years of related and advanced food service and cooking experience preferred
  • Experience with kitchen equipment
  • Intermediate to advanced knife skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to follow safety practices and recipes
  • Dependability and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work holidays and varied hours
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Current Food Handler's Permit
  • Training in Servsafe beneficial
  • State sanitation certificate
  • 3-4 years of related and advanced food service and cooking experience desired
  • Experience with basic kitchen equipment operation preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced knife skills
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and preparation principles
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to read and follow recipes independently

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in food preparation areas
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to measure, mix, and prepare ingredients
  • Monitor and record food temperatures and correct discrepancies
  • Participate in inventory management including receiving and storing food supplies
  • Plate food with attention to appearance and garnish for service
  • Comply with all safety and risk management policies and participate in training sessions
