Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Current Food Handler's Permit
- State sanitation certificate
- 3-4 years of related and advanced food service and cooking experience preferred
- Experience with kitchen equipment
- Intermediate to advanced knife skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to follow safety practices and recipes
- Dependability and organizational skills
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Flexibility to work holidays and varied hours
- Ability to maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Current Food Handler's Permit
- Training in Servsafe beneficial
- State sanitation certificate
- 3-4 years of related and advanced food service and cooking experience desired
- Experience with basic kitchen equipment operation preferred
- Intermediate to advanced knife skills
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and preparation principles
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to read and follow recipes independently
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in food preparation areas
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to measure, mix, and prepare ingredients
- Monitor and record food temperatures and correct discrepancies
- Participate in inventory management including receiving and storing food supplies
- Plate food with attention to appearance and garnish for service
- Comply with all safety and risk management policies and participate in training sessions
