Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience as a line cook or similar role
  • knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
  • strong attention to detail
  • excellent teamwork and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • 1+ years of professional kitchen experience (fine dining a plus)
  • strong knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking techniques
  • ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to Doc Houston’s standards
  • maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation at all times
  • follow food safety and sanitation procedures (HACCP standards)
  • assist with prep work, station setup, and stock rotation
  • collaborate with fellow cooks and chefs to ensure smooth service
  • consistently deliver high-quality dishes with excellent presentation
  • adapt to seasonal menus, daily specials, and chef’s direction
