Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • culinary degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • open availability including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • proof of employment eligibility in the u.s.
  • ability to pass a mandatory drug test and criminal background check
  • active california food handlers certificate/card
  • physical ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
  • ability to walk, stand, and bend for 3 or more hours daily
  • ability to perform repetitive hand motions for full shift
  • willingness to work in conditions with exposure to noise, dust, gas, flames, chemicals, temperature extremes, humidity or wetness

Job Duties

  • ensure all food is prepared and presented according to recipes and presentation standards
  • provide consistent safe and sanitary food storage, preparation and cooking
  • monitor and control maintenance and sanitation of kitchen and equipment
  • recognize and follow quality standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, dairy products and grains including proper storage
  • effectively utilize leftovers and control waste
  • work flexibly and take direction
  • collaborate as a team member in a small confined space
