Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven cooking experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, or senior living environments preferred
  • Ability to work full-time with rotating weekends
  • Successful completion of background screening
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen tasks
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in cooking preferably in healthcare, skilled nursing, or senior living settings
  • Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong commitment to food safety and hygiene practices
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions

Job Duties

  • Prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the kitchen staff
  • Ensure food quality, timing, and presentation meet standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
  • Follow health and safety regulations in food handling
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment
