Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 100 pounds
- Must be able to walk, stand, and bend at neck for 3 or more hours a day
- Must perform repetitive hand use including grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, pulling, and reaching for entire shift
- Must tolerate exposure to noise, dust, gas, flames, chemicals, temperature extremes, humidity, or wetness
- Must perform all essential duties with or without accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
- Culinary degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Ability to pass a mandatory drug test and criminal background check
- Active California Food Handlers Certificate/Card
Job Duties
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to appropriate recipes and presentation consistently
- Provide consistent safe and sanitary food storage, preparation, and cooking
- Monitor and control maintenance and sanitation of the kitchen and equipment
- Recognize and follow quality standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, dairy products, and grains, including proper storage
- Utilize leftovers effectively and control waste
- Be flexible and able to take direction
- Work cooperatively as a team player in a small confined kitchen space
