Job Duties
- prepare and handle food according to all federal, state, and local regulations
- prepare food items according to guest checks assuring quality and appearance
- assure proper flow of orders for product temperature and fast service
- have thorough knowledge of all menu items, prices, and abbreviations
- control waste by storing and rotating products to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage
- maintain portion control while minimizing product waste
- set up the cook line according to company specifications
- maintain equipment at specified temperatures and settings
- keep work area neat and orderly
- clean all equipment regularly
- maintain knowledge of proper cleaning materials
- ensure cleanliness and appearance of work area before, during, and after shift
- maintain personal appearance and professional conduct
- enforce safety rules to ensure customer and employee safety
- assist in event of accident or emergency
