Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary degree from accredited school or two years experience in culinary field
  • Knowledge of various cuisines and cooking methods
  • Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule including day/night shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to arrive on time with neat and clean uniform and safety shoes
  • Adherence to safe work practices and food handling standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Complete accurate inventory count each month with understanding of cost of goods sold
  • Attend monthly kitchen staff meetings covering training, progress, safety, and financials
  • Assist Executive Chef in planning menus with Food and Beverage Director
  • Follow standards to ensure consistency in food taste and presentation
  • Prepare meats, seafood, vegetables, and other line items
  • Use food preparation equipment according to manufacturer instructions
  • Ensure all restaurant staff are familiar with key ingredients, preparation, and taste of menu items
