  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards per check from servers
  • Start food items prepared ahead of time without over preparing estimated needs
  • Date and rotate all food containers following Crescent standards ensuring perishables are stored at proper temperatures
  • Check pars for shift use, prepare necessary food, manage freezer pull and line setup
  • Note out-of-stock items or shortages and assist in keeping buffet stocked
  • Return unused food items to designated storage areas covering and dating perishables
  • Assist in setting up plans to correct food cost issues and control food waste, loss, and usage per standards
  • Operate, maintain and clean kitchen equipment including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill
  • Comply with attendance rules and be regularly available
  • Perform other assigned job-related duties
