Job Requirements
- Minimum one year of kitchen experience or willingness to start as dishwasher or prep cook
- Ability to follow food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds sometimes with assistance
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Qualifications
- At least one year of professional kitchen experience
- Culinary training preferred
- ServSafe certification or ability to complete training
- Proficiency in kitchen operations and execution
- Working knowledge of U.S. measurements for weight and volume
- Ability to follow instructions on safe use of chemicals and cleaning materials
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under supervision and as a team
- Flexible in working hours including holidays and weekends
- Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus
Job Duties
- Prepare menu items accurately and promptly through point of sale system
- Follow food safety guidelines including proper food temperature and labeling
- Accommodate special guest requests with management approval
- Maintain cleanliness and order by washing dishes and cleaning work areas
- Restock kitchen with dry products and prep materials consistently
- Maintain waste logs and inventory levels accurately
- Work safely using protective gear and follow opening, mid, and closing procedures
