Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience working in a full-service restaurant kitchen
- Ability to work according to shift assignments
- Ability to maintain Food Handlers or Manager Certificates
- Ability to perform moderate physical work including lifting up to 40 lbs frequently
- Ability to work indoors in a kitchen environment
- Excellent organizational and verbal skills
- Ability to follow sanitation procedures and maintain cleanliness
- Ability to perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting and grasping for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as cook
- Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods including grilling, baking and boiling
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Very good communication skills
- Excellent physical condition and stamina
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Diploma from a culinary school is an advantage
Job Duties
- Comply with written standardized food recipes and beverages to ensure consistent quality and portion control
- Receive and check food and supplies, inspecting condition, freshness, and correctness according to invoices and orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas as directed by the Chef or General Manager
- Complete opening and closing checklists as outlined by management
- Protect the assets of the Club by adhering to established policies and standards
- Operate within guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints established by Hampton Golf
- Maintain Food Handlers or Manager Certificates
- Assist with other duties as needed
