- Previous restaurant experience desired
- Completion of a four-day training program including reading, observation, assisting, testing, hands-on practice, and evaluation
- Passing of final testing and management evaluation prior to assuming job responsibilities
- Ability to clearly communicate with service staff and managers
- Ability to read tickets and modifications

Job Duties
- Prepare and cook soups, meats, seafood, sauces, vegetables, and desserts according to recipes
- Inspect food preparation and serving areas for safe and sanitary food-handling practices
- Test foods using smelling or thermometers to ensure proper cooking
- Portion, arrange, garnish, and serve food to servers
- Regulate temperature of cooking equipment such as ovens and grills
- Substitute or assist other cooks during peak business periods
- Maintain a clean working space and follow daily cleaning calendar tasks
