Job Requirements

  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Ability to perform basic knife skills and work at least one station
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a positive, upbeat fashion utilizing English, both oral and written

Job Duties

  • Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment
  • Demonstrate proper plate presentation including garnish setup for all dishes
  • Adhere to proper portioning and follow recipe specifications, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation including all surfaces and equipment
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure smooth service
  • Handle, store, and rotate all products properly
  • Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or manager on duty
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn and ask questions
