Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven cooking experience preferably in healthcare, skilled nursing or senior living setting
  • Ability to work rotating weekend shifts
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Successful completion of background screening prior to employment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Ensure food is served simultaneously in high quality and timely fashion
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen
  • Assist in inventory management and stocking supplies
  • Follow dietary guidelines specific to senior living
  • Collaborate with team to improve kitchen operations and customer satisfaction
