Job Duties
- Prepare and execute dishes to Nicola's quality and presentation standards
- Work all stations as needed during service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation practices
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to deliver a consistent dining experience
- Prepare food and portion it prior to service
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
- Cook and prepare all menu items according to standards set by Corporate Chefs, CDC, and Sous Chefs
- Demonstrate an understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment
- Perform opening duties including setting up workstation with required mise en place, tools, and equipment
- Inspect cleanliness and working condition of tools and supplies
- Assist other cooks to ensure optimum guest service
- Perform closing duties including breakdown of workstation and proper food storage
- Rotate, wrap, cover, label, and date all stored food items
- Maintain advanced knife skills
- Maintain exceptional menu knowledge and attention to plate presentation
- Prepare both hot and cold items demonstrating various cooking techniques
- Apply culinary techniques skillfully based on solid knowledge of food products
- Read, measure, and execute recipes accurately
