Job Requirements

  • Able to read, write and speak basic English
  • Able to understand and apply basic mathematical skills
  • Able to apply common sense to carry out simple instructions
  • Able to deal with standardized situations with occasional or no variation
  • Able to push, stand, stoop, bend, and lift 50 to 70 pounds repeatedly
  • Good attitude and work ethic to ensure operating efficiency and guest satisfaction
  • Able to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience on grill, sauté, and pantry stations
  • Good knife skills
  • Experience in sauce and stock making
  • Knowledge of proper cooking techniques
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and food quality
  • Good attitude and work ethic
  • Ability to interact courteously with staff and guests
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
  • Hotel or resort experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Set up, break down, clean up, and prepare food specific to assigned station
  • Assist in other areas such as trash removal, washing dishes, and end of night clean up
  • Accomplish daily assignments to quality standards of the hotel or franchise
  • Assist chef or front of house staff as directed by supervisor
  • Maintain food and cleanliness standards to ensure highest product quality
  • Interact with fellow associates in a courteous and professional manner
  • Provide guest services exceeding guest expectations
  • Report unsafe work conditions and safety violations
  • Greet and interact with guests professionally
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on line equipment
  • Inspect and evaluate equipment cleanliness
  • Report necessary repairs
  • Manage time and productivity according to business volume
  • Effectively set-up and produce quality products adhering to health and company standards
