Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food preparation or a related role preferred
  • Ability to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
  • Willingness to comply with safety and security policies
  • Availability to work regular shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to follow recipes and production standards
  • Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting heavy objects

  • Finger and hand dexterity to operate food machinery
  • Ability to grasp, lift or carry goods up to 100 lbs continuously

Job Duties

  • Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards
  • Start food items that are prepared ahead of time without over preparing
  • Date all food containers and rotate them according to Crescent standards
  • Check pars for shift use and determine necessary preparation and line setup
  • Assist in keeping buffet stocked
  • Return unused food items to designated storage areas properly covered and dated
  • Operate, maintain and clean kitchen equipment such as deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill
