Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
  • at least one year of previous cook experience
  • ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly
  • ability to walk, stand, bend, and carry continuously
  • ability to speak, understand, and write English
  • ServSafe certification or ability to obtain local required certification

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
  • one or more years of previous cook experience
  • demonstrated exemplary customer service skills
  • attention to detail
  • ability to perform in a fast-paced and repetitious environment
  • ability to speak, understand, and write English
  • ServSafe training and certification or ability to obtain required local certifications
  • preferred two or more years of cook experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food items according to CSM brand high quality standards
  • anticipate and complete all daily prep work based on hotel occupancy
  • adhere to cost controls to reduce expenses and food waste
  • follow proper cooking specifications, recipes, and production/plate set-up
  • properly use kitchen equipment and supplies
  • expedite food orders to ensure timely service
  • greet customers courteously and respond to guest needs with quality service
  • assist other associates, dishwashers, and bussers as needed
  • clean and sanitize kitchen regularly
  • complete required paperwork accurately and timely including temperature and food safety logs
  • assist with inventory and maintain safe work area complying with health regulations
  • follow procedures for guest/associate incidents and emergency protocols
  • adhere to grooming and department procedures
  • attend required meetings and comply with attendance policy
  • take initiative and contribute to team success
