Job Requirements
- high school education or equivalent
- one to two years of relevant food service experience
- knowledge of cooking and kitchen procedures
- physical capability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 70 lbs
- ability to stand continuously during prep and service
- ability to hear equipment timers and communicate effectively
- capability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- flexibility to work in varying temperature conditions

Job Duties
- check all items against recipe cards and verify use records
- monitor line setup prior to meal functions for efficiency
- ensure equipment maintenance and adherence to kitchen clean-as-you-go policy
- prepare food consistently following recipes and production standards
- start food items prepared ahead without overproduction
- date and rotate food containers according to SOP and maintain proper temperature
- check pars, determine prep needs and line setup
- note out-of-stock items or shortages
- assist in keeping buffet stocked
- return unused food items to storage with proper covering and dating
- assist in setting plans to correct food cost issues and control waste
