Job Duties

  • Prepare food ordered by restaurant customers using a variety of kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, fryers, meat slicers, and food processors
  • Perform shift opening and closing duties including starting equipment and cleaning refrigeration units, grills, and surrounding kitchen areas
  • Maintain kitchen and cooking areas ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and organization as required by Health Department Rules and Regulations
  • Report any kitchen equipment or maintenance issues to the manager
  • Restock products as needed throughout shift
  • Collaborate with Restaurant Manager to determine daily specials, new menu items, and innovative cooking methods
  • Regularly check menu cycle to ensure availability of all food items and notify manager of shortages
