  • capacity to perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching

Job Duties

  • Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards
  • begin food items prepared ahead of time, avoiding over-preparation
  • date all food containers and rotate per Hersha Hospitality standards, ensuring perishables are kept at proper temperatures
  • check pars for shift use, determine preparation, freezer pull and line set-up, noting out-of-stock items or shortages
  • return unused food items on the next shift to designated storage, covering and dating perishables
  • assist in setting up plans and actions to correct food cost problems and control food waste as per company standards
  • operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen tools and equipment
  • follow sustainability guidelines related to EarthView program
  • practice safe work habits, wear protective equipment, and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards
  • perform other duties as requested by management
