Job Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • previous line cook experience in a comparable environment
  • culinary school or apprenticeship preferred
  • must communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
  • ability to understand directions, recipes, and safety signage
  • ability to work under pressure during busy periods
  • must be able to lift 60 pounds and work in limited spaces for entire shift

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a line cook in a similar caliber restaurant
  • previous kitchen or culinary experience required
  • knowledge of food preparation and safety
  • ServSafe certification is a plus
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • excellent communication skills in English
  • strong organizational and sanitation skills
  • ability to operate kitchen equipment safely

Job Duties

  • Prepare mise en place for assigned station
  • prepare foods according to Chef's instructions
  • understand and execute guest orders accurately
  • plate meals with attention to quality and presentation
  • work efficiently as part of the kitchen team
  • safely operate kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, slicers, and steamers
  • maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards throughout shift
  • communicate professionally about special orders and guest concerns
  • report equipment issues and unsafe conditions promptly
  • handle, lift, and manipulate kitchen products up to 60 pounds
  • comply with all health and safety regulations
