Job Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- previous line cook experience in a comparable environment
- culinary school or apprenticeship preferred
- must communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
- ability to understand directions, recipes, and safety signage
- ability to work under pressure during busy periods
- must be able to lift 60 pounds and work in limited spaces for entire shift
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a line cook in a similar caliber restaurant
- previous kitchen or culinary experience required
- knowledge of food preparation and safety
- ServSafe certification is a plus
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- excellent communication skills in English
- strong organizational and sanitation skills
- ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
Job Duties
- Prepare mise en place for assigned station
- prepare foods according to Chef's instructions
- understand and execute guest orders accurately
- plate meals with attention to quality and presentation
- work efficiently as part of the kitchen team
- safely operate kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, slicers, and steamers
- maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards throughout shift
- communicate professionally about special orders and guest concerns
- report equipment issues and unsafe conditions promptly
- handle, lift, and manipulate kitchen products up to 60 pounds
- comply with all health and safety regulations
